Meet Dr. Steven Scott

Dr. Steve Scott just considers himself to be a local guy. A California native, he grew up in Elk Grove attending Joseph Kerr Middle School and Elk Grove High. Eventually, he graduated from Jesuit High in 1983.
Leaving the state of California for a short time, Dr. Scott attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, then finished his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkeley. (He's still a rabid Cal fan. GO BEARS!!!) From there it was on to UCLA to study dentistry, and then to the University of Michigan to do a three year residency and earn a Master's degree in orthodontics. While in residency at Michigan, Dr. Scott did original scientific research and wrote a thesis ("A Comparison of the Esthetic Impact of Extraction and Non-Extraction Treatment in African Americans") which won the prestigious Harry Sicher Award from the American Association of Orthodontists in 1997.
After long years of study in many parts of the country, Dr. Scott returned to the place he calls home. He has settled down nearby, and is looking forward to serving the Sacramento community through his orthodontic practice.
Dr. Scott is the son of Marietta and Anderson Scott, and the brother of David Scott. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the National Dental Association. Dr. Scott is a fan of local rodeo, California Golden Bear football, good movies and bad TV.
